Tutts Clump Cider Ltd is a family business that was set up in 2006 by Tim Wale. Tim was born in the hamlet of Tutts Clump, West Berkshire in 1957 and still lives there today.
Tim started his working life as an Agricultural/Motor Engineer in 1974, and started making Cider as a hobby in 2006 on the kitchen table with production of 25 litres. By 2013 production grew and were using around 90 tonnes of home counties grown apples and crafting some 60,000 litres of Proper Cider which has been increasing year on year - 71,000 litres in 2019.
We do not filter, pasturise or carbonate our products (except for our contemporary range) and the only additives are sucralose and sulphites in small quantities. We do everything in-house and package our Proper Cider in bottles, cans, bag in box, pouches, casks and kegs. Find out more about our Cider making process.
Tim has been assisted over the years by his wife and five daughters - two of whom are full time.
We take pride in our award-winning ciders crafted from the finest local apples. Our commitment to quality has earned us recognition and a loyal customer base.
